• Kiwanis Donates to Local Library

    On Wednesday, May 22nd, the Rockcastle County Kiwanis Club donated $200 to the Rockcastle County Public Library for the purchase of children’s books.  Pictured presenting the donation is Kiwanis member, Martha Cox, along with Regina Thompson, Children’s Librarian and Pam Chaliff, Director of the Rockcastle County Library. 

  • Circuit Court Clerk Presents to Kiwanis

    Rockcastle Circuit Court Clerk Eliza York-Hansel (also a Kiwanis club member) was our guest speaker at the May 16th Kiwanis club meeting. She explained the new drivers licensing procedures that will go into effect in the coming months and how the changes impact citizens. We appreciate her dedication to not only our club, but all citizens of Rockcastle County.  

  • Rockcastle Kiwanis Partners with RCHS Student Council

    RCHS Student Council Members Alexa Bussell and Kylee Fain along with RCHS Youth Service Center Jessie Mahaffey accepted a donation by Rockcastle Kiwanis to be used for the new RCHS hygiene center. The RCHS Student Council, in partnership with the Youth Service Center as well as the FCCLA and Young Feminists clubs, designed and implemented a hygiene center for young ladies at RCHS.  Student Council members Kylee Fain and Alexa Bussell managed the project, which will allow girls to obtain needed hygiene items at a self-serve station in the downstairs restrooms.  “Girls needed an option to be able to take care of personal issues without having to go through the…

  • 2019 National Day of Prayer

    Kiwanis Club of Rockcastle County was honored to once again be a part of the National Day of Prayer organized and presented by the Rockcastle Association of Kentucky Baptists. Kiwanis Club members served a sack lunch with fruit provided by Rockcastle Regional Hospital and drinks provided by James Miller and Teresa Vanzant in memory of their parents, Denver and Glenna Miller.
